Regulations dealing with spectators at Little Miami sporting events will be drastically different this fall after new order was issued from the Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health.

Spectators are permitted to attend events but only with limited numbers of fans permitted in the stands.

For example, for the 2020 season, varsity football game tickets will only be available via presale and capped at two tickets per student-athlete and/or band member.

The ODH order states that the maximum number of individuals gathered in any outdoor sports venue is the lesser of 1500 or 15 percent of the fixed seated capacity. The published capacity of LMHS stadium has grandstand capacity (home and visitors combined) of 2,350 bleacher seats. Fifteen percent of that is 477.

The Athletic Director’s office is required to issue a set amount of tickets to a visiting team. For football, that will be 125 tickets.

  1. Spectators must conduct daily symptom checks. Anyone experiencing symptoms should stay home.
  2. Spectators must wear face coverings at all times.
  3. Family and household members should sit together socially-distanced from other individuals/family/household groups. Each group should sit in the same location for the duration of the event. Markers will be used on the bleachers to help determine safe spacing.
  4. Six-feet social distancing must be maintained between individuals/family/household groups.
  5. No congregating before or after games is permitted.

The LM athletic boosters may operate the concession stand for some events in compliance with Ohio's guidance for such activities. Most likely this will mean only bottled drinks and pre-packaged snacks being available for most events.

Each host school will operate differently. Details will be shared with families of rostered students via coaches in advance of each event.
