Little Miami’s growing athletics program has another set of helping hands after the Board of Education approved the hiring of an assistant athletic director.

Jordan Lanham has joined Little Miami for the 2019-20 school year and will work alongside Athletic Director Keith Pantling in managing the growing Panther athletics program as it prepares to make the transition to the Eastern Cincinnati Conference in the fall of 2021.

Lanham is a 2018 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in sports administration, and most recently interned at Deer Park, Kings and Sycamore High Schools. Pantling said that even though Lanham is fresh from college, he already has built a set of skills that will be vital to the LM athletic department.

“Jordan comes highly recommended from the various ADs he’s worked with in the area,” said Pantling. “He has a tremendous understanding of the day-to-day workflow and pace of the athletic office. His support will allow us to be proactive in advancing our operation for our kids, coaches and community.”

Lanham will help Pantling with managing day-to-day operations of the athletic department, which includes more than 800 high school and junior high athletes and more than 90 different teams at both levels. He will also help Cindy Evans, the athletic department administrative assistant, coordinate facility scheduling for Little Miami’s six buildings, which is operated from the athletic department.

For his part, Lanham said he is excited to be a part of a district that is growing and that has made positive strides.

“Some things I would like to do at Little Miami is to help continue to build the rapid growing community and district. There are so many great things going on here and I feel that it is a very special time to be a part of this district with all the positive momentum,” he said. “My main career goal is to make a strong lasting positive impact on the student athletes and community that I work in.”
