6 Panther athletes taking game to next level

Six Panther athletes signed letters of intent to continue participate in their sport at the collegiate level on National Signing Day on Feb. 5.

Athletes from Panther teams in fall, winter and spring sports will continue their playing careers after graduation.

Madison Butorac: Wilmington College (cheer). Butorac received the UCA All-American Cheerleader Award in 2019, competed at the UCA Nationals in Orlando and received the most versatile and dedicated cheerleader award. She is a six-year starter for lacrosse, member of National Honor Society and member of the LMHS Dance Club.

Mackenzie Faul: Wilmington College (soccer). Faul is a varsity letter winner for women’s soccer and member of four-time Southwest Ohio Conference champion team.

Sydney Kilgore: Ohio Northern University (lacrosse). Kilgore was voted 2017 best offensive player, player of the year nominee for Cincinnati Enquirer and second team all-region in 2017. She scored the most goals 17-18, and was first team all-city 2018, and second team all-region 2018. She’s a member of HOPE club, French club, Art club, National Honor Society and is the blood drive chair for National Honor Society.

Brody Reder: Butler University (football). Reder was selected first team all-SWOC in 2018 and 2019 for football and first team all-conference baseball 2019. He set numerous school records including most touchdowns, only quarterback with 1,000 yards rushing, and had the second most passing yards in a season. He is a member of Student Ambassadors and the Student Athlete Leadership Team.

Mackenzie Ricketts: Wittenberg University (volleyball). Ricketts was selected first team, all-conference for four years, first team all-district, two-time academic all-conference and academic all-district. She was a member of the two-time SWOC championship team and Athlete of the Week.

Lydia Vach: Marietta College (soccer). Vach was selected first team all-conference in cross country and was Cross Country Runner of the Year 2017. She was Enquirer Athlete of the Week in cross country and was selected first team all-SWOC 2019. She was also selected first team, all-conference in track in 2017 and 2018. She is a member of National Honor Society, the Student Athlete Leadership Team and yearbook staff.
