5 Panther athletes headed to collegiate competition

Five Panther athletes recently signed national letters of intent to continue playing their sport at the collegiate level at the LMHS Fall Signing Day on Nov. 13.

Alivia Conte (softball) University of Charleston. Conte is a four-year varsity player and was named second team, all-conference and won Southwest Ohio Conference Sportsmanship award in 2019. She is also a SWOC All-Academic honoree and a member of the National Honor Society.

Gabbi Gordon (soccer) Marshall University. Gordon won first team all-SWOC for soccer and track and was named the 2018 women’s soccer MVP. Gordon is also a member of the Student Athlete Leadership Team, and is the Little Miami record holder for 100m and 200m dash. 

Savannah Masterson (soccer) Lincoln Memorial University. Masterson made regionals on her club team twice and state cup finals three times and competed in the Region 2 Olympic development program. She also ran track in 100m and 300m hurdles and the 4 x 400m relay and 4 x 100m relay teams. She is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Kelsey Schmidt (softball) Auburn University. Schmidt is a four-year varsity basketball player, and a four-year varsity softball player. She earned first-team All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference in softball at her previous school, and first-team all-Southwest Ohio Conference at Little Miami, and also won Player of the Year recognition in 2018 and 2019. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and was recognized for SWOC Academic Excellence.

Alyssa Weisbrodt (soccer) Purdue University Fort Wayne. Weisbrodt is a four-year varsity soccer player and was named first team, all-SWOC 2018 and 2019. She was also selected SWOC Athlete of the Week and is a member of the National Honor Society.
