Team Outlook

Develop LMHS Cross Country into a program that competes yearly for the SWOC championship with a goal of qualifying a team for Southwest Ohio regional competition. Develop and enable individual runners to compete for SWOC titles and qualify for regional and state competition.

  • Create a summer training program that reduces running related injuries in the fall and prepares individual athletes for the intense training that comes after the meets start.
  • Stress teamwork as a key enabler for success. Cross Country requires at least seven runners to be successful. Strong teamwork is a must.
  • Build overall fitness and well being into everything we do. Have fun but take it serious!
  • Train hard when the time comes. Cross Country is a running sport and there are NO SHORTCUTS to running fitness.
  • Develop young runners in the fundamentals of run training; grow their workload as they mature, adjusting to individual needs within a team environment.
